When I make a SVCD 480X480, it doesn't show full screen on Windows media player. How do I unlock the TMPGEnc template in order to change the format, and what format should I use (352X480?)

    Thanks,
    George

Use a software DVD player such as PowerDVD or WinDVD.

Windows Media Player sucks donkey balls.

If it's nto 480x480, then it's not SVCD.

The problem is WMP, not the SVCD.

Remember that TV pexels are rectangles and Computer pixels are square. PowerDVD and WinDVD correct for this. WMP doesn't. Tell WMP to go full screen and maintain aspect ratio (which is 4:3, not 1:1 that WMP thinks).

Thanks, but I need to distribute the SVCD's to people who probably only have Windows Media Player.

Well give them a CD with a freeware MEDIA player that can properly display a SVCD as FULL SCREEN on a 4:3 computer monitor.

One example I can think of would be BSPlayer.

    P.S.
If this is strictly for computer viewing you could always try DivX in which case you can do full screen 640x480 which is full screen 4:3 ratio

Then you are virtually guaranteed that they won't be able to watch it. The MPEG2 codec isn't installed by default, thus they won't see it. Not sure about MP2 sound being a default installation.

MPEG1 is part of the basic M$ codec base, so that's another option.
