Nero 6 burning prloblem

I'm trying to burn a dvd with Nero 6 and when I go to click burn it comes up and says the drive is in use by another application. I don't have anything else using the drive.

I've checked for packet writing software and I have none running. I do have some other DVD and CD burning software installed, but no packet stuff like InCD.

From what I've been able to find on the net and searching in here...seems like there is some problem with Nero 6. I have a Sony DRU-500A burner.

Any suggestions?

Just a workaround. Have you tried using Nero to burn to hard drive and then use RecordNow, which came with your Sony, to do the actual burn to disc?

What OS are you using? If it's WinXP then there is known problems relating to the settings in some part of the windows software. Someone recently (last week I think) posted a fix for it so if you go searching on the forum you should be able to find it.

I got it fixed. I was using Nero 6 version 6.0.0.11. I upgraded to version 6.0.0.19 and no problems now.
