  1. Hi all:

I am having big problems using toolame with tmpgenc - when encoding svcd in tmpgenc with toolame specified as the MPEGII audio encoder, I get the message "the external encoder was not run properly".

I have also tried to run toolame from the command prompt in XP and I get the message:

rsx not found, dpmi not supported by emx

Can anyone tell me what is causing this?

    Thanks

    Steve

  2. Are you aware of this.

The version of tooLAME 02l (2-Mar-2003) does not generates audio files compatible with TMPGEnc plus. Until tooLAME and/or TMPGEnc fix the problem, continue using tooLAME up to version 02k.

Should I just stick with the TMPGE audio encoding then ?

  6. Well thats up to you, you can either use TMPG for audio encoding or lame providing it is version 02k or before.

  9. Actually, I have tried a number of versions - i, j, k and l and all of them have produced the same error.

Might it be an incompatibility with XP?

    Cheers

Toolame and TMPGEnc are compatible with Windows XP. I have used toolame versions 02k and 02l. When rendering at 48 K, the audio file generated by toolame 02l is rejected by TMPGEnc.
