Hi Sevy,

Thanks for your comparison on all the CD-REWRITERS that are compatible with these 90 + 99 minutes CDR's.

Using your guide i was thinking of updating my 12xspeed PLextor to the 16xspeed Plextor because it is able to burn out to 99minutes.

So before i go out and spend more money i thought to myself why not e-mail Plextor themselves and ask them if the 16xspeed did burn out to 99minutes, they send me back this reply:-

Dear customer,

Thank you for your interest in our Plextor products.

It is possible to overburn CDR and/or to use oversized Cdr's with the Plexwriter but we don't give support about it because in many cases it's a matter of trail and error.

The Plextor devices are designed according to the standards that are used for CD-Recording/Reading. (650 Mb/74 min).
And if a successful recording /reading is not guaranteed like this, you cannot expect Plextor to support it officially.

Not really the answer i was looking for.

Sevy did you do these test's yourself or where they done by somebody esle.

The reason why i'm asking this is because My 12 Speed Plextor has done everthing i have asked of it (except for burning onto 99 minute's because it can't)and would prefare another PLexWriter to the other one's that do burn out to 99mintue's.

Sevy this is not critisim of all your hard work,i just want to be sure.

Again many thanks for you comparison guide and Your Templates as well.
