My friend and I have cobbled together a frankenstein computer...now I would like to make back-ups of my dvds. I'm great at fixing cars...but not so adept at computers. What I would like is a brainless program like DVDXCopy...but I don't really want to pay that much. Any alternatives for the movie-lovin' clueless type? My frankenstein computer consists of:
Cendyne DVD-R burner
MSI KT7 Turbo2 Motherboard
AMD Duron 750 CPU
Maxtor 13GB w/Windows 2000 Pro
256MB SDRAM
Nvidia GeForce 2mx video
SuperOrb heatsink
dual case fans
Okay...is this even fast enough to do the proverbial job?

LOL, its fast enough to do the job, but it's not gonna be fast. It will do the job. I was using a 500 celeron for 3 years so I know urs is good enough, albeit slow. as far as programs to make an exact copy, too many to choose from guy. dvd decrypter, dvd shrink etc etc etc
