  1. I have been trying to use scheduler with an AIW Radeon Card. I have MMC 8.1 and the problem is whenenver I try to schedule an event with S-Video or Video capture, the scheduler defaults to the TV tuner. I have tried repairing MMC and it worked once. It seems I have to re-start it to get it work right. Has anyone else seen this?

What about VirtualVCR. Does it work well with ATI cards? Can you store several presets like MMC ? Does the VirtualVCR Scheduler work ok?

    Any comments welcome.

    thanks,
    Jack

I think that's a failsafe of the tuner. I get that "problem" too. The timer was made for the tuner. They figured s-video or composite would be done without timer. Consider using coax connection.

Upgrade to MMC 8.5, I record from S-Video using the scheduler all the time, it allows you to choose from TV tuner/composite/S-video during the scheduler setup.

  4. Works fine with composite in MMC 7.7 as well.

  5. Not to steal your post or anything...but I was wondering which version of MMC you all prefer? I am currently running 7.7 which I was never able to get to recognize my DVD-ROM drive (I use WinDVD4 anyway so I don't care much). I ask because I am planning on doing HD wipe and a fresh OS install this weekend (hoping to solve various problems). I downloaded 8.1, 8.5, 8.6 and 8.7...I heard that 8.8 was buggy...which would you suggest I use? Also, I downloaded the Catalyst bundle that was listed along with the MMC8.7 version on the previous software for W98 for a 7500AIW. That wouldn't lock me into using MMC8.7 would it?
    Thanks

  6. Babyboo,

Currently running WinXP Pro with AIW Radeon 7500 and upgraded to newest version 3.10 Catalyst & MMC 8.8. Everything is working perfectly.

  8. I am using MMC 8.8 now after upgrade. Same stuff. PVR switches to Tuner Channel 8, even when I select SVIDEO as the input source. ATI has horrible support and they obviously do not want to hear from you. They do not have an EMAIL listed.

  9. Thanks for the replies. I tried 8.8 first but since my original CD contained a version of MMC about a year old when I tried installing 8.8 it wouldn't verify my CD and allow me to upgrade. I tried 8.7 etc, until I got 8.1 to work. I guess they want me to pay for the privilage of upgrading to newer version of MMC. Anyway, just as with my original installation my DVD-ROM drive wasn't recognized (which is no biggie). However, the video soap functionality is greyed out which suprised me since I have an AIW7500 and I thought video soap worked with all but the VE cards.
