hey guys just bought the ASUS DRW-0402P/D DVD Burner its a 4 X Dual drive -R +R etc... now i was reading how you cant burn cheap media at 4 X such as princo and things like that with most burners, even the shop i bought it from said you cant with the burner i got, they said it will burn at 2X, i bought 10 X Princos, i didnt upgrade the firmware or anything, the box came with some cool stuff, and the software Ulead DVD Moviefactory 2 SE, i used that to burnt the movie after i ripped and encoded with DVD Shrink and it worked flawlessly it actually burnt the Princo 4 X at 4 X (5540KB per second) within 13 minutes it burnt the full dvd, i played it back on my Pioneer DVD player, works beautifully from start to end, done 4 movies so far with it all worked excellent, from start to end, i cant believe how good this burner is, got it for so cheap and works brilliantly! i used to have an LG 4020B and i used to have problems at the start then i done a few things such as update firmware and it started working but you can just tell its no way as good as the the ASUS i got! with its original firmware its working 100% so i just wanted to share this info with people on maybe wanting to buy a new DVD burner i recommend this burner 110% perfect! use the software Ulead DVD Moviefactory 2 SE that comes with it, just do COPY DISC Mode ( cool burning engine) and locate the folder you have the VIDEO_TS AND AUDIO_TS in chuck in a Blank (even a cheapy like i use Princo 4X) and off you go, its excellent!
