The Magnum DRW 9500 was introduced in 2005 and is a combined DVD and HDD videorecorder. It is also possibel to copy from DVD to HDD and vice versa. I have tried to put it into the files here at VideoHelp, but cannot find any valid links to any homepage discribing the machine. In stead I'll put it in here.
I've had the machine for 3 years and still have not got it to record anything on any DVD. What a crap. The HDD part seems to work properly. This is a chinese product sold in the german supermart chain ALDI.
When the HDD is full the machine will lock. You have to dismantle the 160GB HDD and wipe it with the help of a PC. If you try to copy from HDD to DVD it will also stall, and you have to pull the mains for 10 minutes and plug in again, just to interrupt the process. Or else the machine will be stalled for months.
I've seen it on eBay for less than 100 Euro (about 200$), with the higest bid achieved was 1 Euro (2$).
Never buy such a machine!
