  1. Hey.

I got a video and want to convert into a VCD. It is 20fps and I figured that if I convert it, it will play jumpy because of the missing frames. Is there anyway around this?

Coz one time I converted a NTSC movie into PAL vcd and it did play a little jumpy.

    Any advice???
    Thanks.

There is no way (that I've found out) to convert a 20 fps avi to either NTSC nor PAL. You can't regain the frames that have been removed, only make copies of existing frames to "fill the blanks". This will give you a jerky movie with strobe effect.
To convert to from PAL/NTSC is pretty easy.
Use Vdub and CoolEdit (or some other sound editor)
    Save the wavefile.
Change framerate to desired and save avi.
Open the saved avi and go to the end and note the duration.
Open the wave file in cooledit go to transform, put the new time in and save the wav.
Atfter that incorporate the wave in your avi (change the preload time to synch sound) and save.
    Encode and burn.
