    Hi all,

I've got this weird (?) problem when I copy (using CloneCD) a VCD to a CDRW disc for playback on my Sony DVP-S360 player:

    1. If I copy a VCD that CAN play on my Sony DVD player to a CDRW disc, the CDRW disc WILL play on my Sony and PC.

    2. If I copy a VCD that CANNOT play on my Sony DVD player to a CDRW disc (same brand, CompUSA), the CDRW disc will NOT play on my Sony, but WILL play on my PC.

Can anyone explain this peculiar phenomenon? I used the same CDRW disc, yet the Sony doesn't recognize the disc in case #2. Is there some missing information on the disc in case #2 that won't allow the CDRW to play in my Sony? This is all too perplexing.

If anyone can shed some light on this, I'd be very greatful.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your response.

Non-compliant VCD? How so? How can I rectify this problem? Or can I?

    Thanks for the advice.

I guess I'd be re-authoring it to be VCD 2.0 compliant, right?

Could you elaborate on how to re-author the VCD to 2.0?

Sarry, but I'm an authoring newbie. And a dope.

    Just checking back.

Is there a way I can determine if my VCDs are compliant? Would my goal be to make all of my VCDs 2.0 compliant?

If anyone can offer any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks.
