I'm having trouble copying dvd's. When I copy a dvd with nero and try to play the dvd I copied it won't play. The original dvd plays fine but not the copy dvds. I'm copying dvd5's. What is the best simple program for copying dvds?

You can't just do a "Disc Copy" with most commercially available DVDs as they contain encryption (most commonly CSS).

You need to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive (this strips the protection out and leaves unencrypted video) and then you can burn it.

DVDFab Decrypter is free and is kept updated with the latest copy protection schemes fairly frequently.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I usually copy movies on the fly with Anydvd and clonedvd. Sometimes the problem with doing it on the fly is that Anydvd might not have a recent update for a new copy protection software and so clonedvd fails to start the burning process.
