I burned a DVD of the kids play using Pinnacle Studio 8.
It worked on the computer and DVD player.
I wanted to make copies for their friends so I used Nero 6.6.1.4 to copy the DVD.
The copies work in the computer, but not on the DVD player.
First I suspected bad disc's, but this has happened more than once.
I end up burning the DVDs from Pinnacle, but it's not as fast.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Thanks.

I am using NexXtech DVD-R 8x 4.7GB.
When I use the same media from Pinnacle Studio it works. -

Best way to make a 1:1 copy of a home made DVD is to use DVDDecrypter, ISO read, ISO write.

Also consider that some older players are not compatible with any burned disks.
Many people have good results with CMC media, and it is used by better known brands than Nexxtech. But some writers and some players cannot tolerate it.
If burning from Pinnacle is successful, but your copies are not, it is possible that the player is enforcing what it thinks is the DVD standard on the disk and decided it is not complient. Unfortuantely this is common on certain older, expensive players.
