    how do i encode a AVI movie to Xvid with VirtualDub ?

    every time i encode with Xvid the quality sux.

    What settings have you tried? two-pass, high motion search? "Throw us a bone, here".

    hmm.. 1 pass - quality, 2 Pass - 1st pass - 2 Pass - 2nd pass Int.

  4. Is there a chance it's your source avi that 'sux' ?

    This codec gives excellent results from a decent source. Using 'quality' around 90% is good but gives an indeterminite files size. 2 passes work very well for a given file size but takes a long time.
