  1. Hi all. I convert a lot of XVID movies and burn them using TMPGEnc Author to DVD. This works great and I am quite happy with the quality, menus I can create etc etc.

The problem I have is that when I try and copy one of these discs with Nero v6 (Platinum) in any of the following ways it fails:

DVD-ROM to DVD-R on the fly
DVD-ROM to DVD-R via image on hard disk
DVD-R to DVD-R via image on hard disk

It fails to read the data on the disc. This is the same for all of the movies I have burnt using TMPGEnc DVD Author.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

    Thanks!

You may get alot of different responses to your question, but the most successful way that I have found to do it is to copy the dvd to your hard drive first then burn to dvd.

Well, it OUGHT to work. There's undoubtedly one of two things wrong:

    1. A defect on the disc that's only brought out in full DVD read mode.
    2. Something goony with Nero (more likely).

    So just do this.

    1. Insert disc.
    2. Double click the drive in "My Computer".
    3. Drag the Video_TS folder to your desktop.
    4. Burn with your choice of program (preferably NOT NERO).
