This program just isn't working for me. I'm trying to make some VCDs of DivX movies I downloaded...and I can't work out the settings. I'm using the quick setting for VCD, clicking Best, then clicking Rate to keep the movie in two discs. Sometimes it does nothing, sometimes the files are too big, and the only time it actually worked, there was only one cue/bin file and it burned one disc with the whole movie on it, with the sound totally out of sync. I had tried to set it for two discs, and everything in the bitrate calculator said two discs, but it created the cue/bin for one, and it was screwed up. Looked good, though.

    Not getting it.

  2. Set VCD quick preset and click encode without using the bitrate calculator at all. Set "Split into 'Auto' chunks".

Hm, I had same problems. Quite annoying after waiting like 20h for just one disk. I get the encoder stuck at 99% (should I really have waited much longer??) but the files seem to be there. The Video file (ex-DivX, now SVCD (m2v) via FAST SETTINGS) is 1.4 GB and not TWO files. The split setting was ON.

WHat can I do? Can I work the 1.4GB file so it gets split w/o encoding again?

  4. The process may seem stuck at 99% while in fact it is doing the final muxing and splitting operations. So wait for the bell to ring, this can take some minutes. Also the "Auto" split only work with mpeg2enc engine for now (it will be extended to ffmpeg engine soon).

ok, thx. for me not to have waited endlessly in vain: CAN I SPLIT the 1.4GB file afterwards....?

  6. You can split with the "Author" tool and selecting the number of chunks (2, 3 or 4) but if you had split it at encoding time, it would have been better (clean split, while spltting afterwards can result in artifacts or playing problems on some occasions).
