There are quite a few posts regarding making a dvd video using only mp3's and making menus etc.
From what I have been reading you have to convert the mp3 to either a wav, mp2 or ac3.
What I would like to ask is, if a mp3 is 5mb then the wav would be approx 50mb. What is the conversion factor increase going from mp3 to mp2 or ac3.
Wouldn't this directly impact the potential number of tracks on the dvd if the file sizes are increasing by a factor of 10.
I tried this using FT Sharks guide using Adobe Encore, but the playback quality through the pc was not very good. FT Shark as advised to increase the bitrate, but I am having problems finding that function.
Would the playback have been better going through the standalone and tv ?
I have access to dvd architect, tmpgenc dvd author and adobe encore.
Which of these application is best suited to the task ?
Thanks.
dlb.
