I was wondering how to copy this double-sided dvd to dvd-r? I have searched thru the forum and read a little bit about it, but most posts have you omitting the menus or making new ones. I want to keep the original menu and everything. The movie and some of the extras are on one side and the rest of the extras are on the other side. how can i fit the whole dvd with original menu and all the extras on one dvd-r? I have dvd decrypter and smart ripper and dvdshrink and other tools. thanks

actually i think you are mistaken about "wrong turn", one side has the film in widescreen and the other side has the film in pan/scan and both extras are the same for either side. Just for the record it is not a dual latered disc either, unless some other version was made differently this one i am refering to is the US region 1 disc

actually one side has 3 featurettes and the other side has deleted scenes etc. ok I have all the files from the widescreen side saved and I have the extra I wanted from the other side. The extra from the other side is vts_03.vob but the widescreen part already has a vob named that. So how do i keep this extra extra with original menus and burn. Is there anyway for example I could add this extra to another extra and just leave it named whatever vob it is from the widescreen part. Like for example the deleted scenes, Can i somehow add this 3 mins of video to the last deleted scene then re-authour and burn? thanks

Warning: any re-authoring with DVD Shrink will mean you lose the menu (or its functionnability).

what I'm trying to do in order to save the menus and all is ok I want to make one of the deleted scenes have the extra from the other side I wanted. so for example lets say the last deleted scene on the disc is 1 minute and half, I want to add this 3:43 mins of extras to the last deleted scene making it seem like the deleted scene is over 5 mins. This way I could just select the last deleted scene from the menu then wait for it to end or fast forward then it would go right into the other extra. I think this involves joining vobs and using ifo edit or something but does anyone have any idea? thanks

to do what you are asking would require completely re-authoring the dvd including creating new menus, it is not possible to keep the original menu whilst adding new vob files (you wouldnt be able to access the new vobs from the original menu as the title of the added vobs are not on the original menu)
completely re-authoring the dvd requires some proffesional (and expensive) software.
you are better off just copying each side of the disk to seperate dvdr's or settle for the movie only -
or you might be able to try this (not sure if it will work but its a suggestion). take the vobs that you want from the other side and rename them so they are the last title sets in your vob (ex if vts 3 is the last name them vts4, etc) do the whole dvdshrink or whatever method. or possibly just have ifoedit go over them. oncce done and you burn the disc instead of selecting that title via the menu, have it get to the title via the search on the remote. So if youi know the title is 4 you can have have it jump to it that way. But i know you still would have to fix the ifo files, etc and a few other things, but in essence it should work
