vcd problems using Nero.

New to burning VCD's and having loads of problems. I have a selction of both .avi and .mpg files and when i follow the instructions outlined in this site on how to burn them to VCD using Nero i end up with nothing...when i drag a file (.mpg) into Nero it spends time checking the file...I then tell it to burn and it goes and encodes it!!! After encoding, nothing! 20 minutes to encode and no result! Where am i going wrong? I've gone to and fro for the past few days and its doing my head in!

the encoding will take about 2-3 hrs depending on your PC speed.. then it will burn the vcd

I see no reason to encode AVI-> MPEG in Nero. Just use TMPGEnc! It's free and it provides high-quality MPEG-1/2 results! =)

Tried burning again...Nero did the encoding (2hrs)but no burning - Could i have incorrect settings somewhere?

Which should it be on? ...i've been doing it as ISO9660

I am using NERO also w/o any problems. I have choosen ISO for name of volume. I suggest you to prepare MPG in TMPGenc. it is faster and better. After that it must be working.
