Hi all,
I have been digitizing DV (PAL) to later put on DVD for a standalone player. The problem is that on movement (pans, tilts, etc.) the video is 'jerky'. Yes i did a topic search and there was a string adressing the problem however it did not solve it. And now I have the problem.

Here is where I am with this so far....
when capturing I do it through FCP 4 to my G4 through firewire. OK.The capture settings:
DV PAL 48 kHz - 25 fps - DV Pal @ best quality and 24 bits per pixel
size: 720x576

The sequence setting (or project setting if you will...)
Frame size 720 x 576
time base 25 fps
Field dominance LOWER (suspect right here right?)
Pixel aspect ratio PAL CCIR 601
Anamorphic OFF
Video processing YUV allowed 8 bit
white point WHITE
Compressor DV - Pal
millions of collors 24 bit
quality 100
Once the video is edited to a .mov then I toss it in toast to burn the DVD.
I suspect the field order is the problem with the jerky video HOWEVER where should I adress the problem? During the video digitizing process? during render in FCP or during encoding in TOAST?

Should I use another decoder?
Can the problem be fixed upon render by changing the field settings in the sequence or do I have to RE- digitize the video??
Has anyone else had this problem using FCP 4 and if so how should I set my sequence to render for dvd?

I know it is a long list of questions and I apologize if I couldn't figure this out with the previous string but I have more coasters from this problem alone than glasses in my kitchen!
Any help is appreciated
