I currently have 640x480 RMVB files with 25fps and want to cram 10 of them onto a single layer DVD5. This rounds off to about 1150kbps video with 128kbps audio if set with CBR in TMPGEnc XPress. I use 29.97fps 352x-480 for the final video. I have created similar DVDs in the past with TMPGEnc Plus with the same settings but have moved on to XPress because it can actually handle RMVB audio correctly.

Now that the issues concerning actually getting the RMVB file to not crash the program and actually encode are past me, I have to tackle this jerky video problem. I don't mind blur, I just need it smooth. Many of the people in the videos move like robots, jerking at every step. I am not sure if the problem is because of the very low bitrate or the framerate difference between the 25fps source and the 29.97 DVD NTSC standard or because of some advanced setting I haven't enabled/disabled. I am a video noob and just want to get this thing fixed. I know that you can get decent quality episodes with no jerkiness at the 1150kbps framerate because my parents have DVD9 videos with 20 episodes on each disc so it is doable. Someone please help me with this jerkiness problem, the final step to a satisfactory RMVB -> DVD conversion that I have been trying to figure out for a long time.
