Hi,
I just capture my home dvd movie to mpeg 2 file and using DVD WS for editing. Can someone tell me how can i change it to better video quality when i burn it to DVD?
What about VAR ? Is higher mean better quality? Is it going to take more space?
Thanks.

If you only have DVD Workshop to work with, you need to capture to a DV .avi file. Capturing to Mpeg2 on the fly will give you a poorer picture. DVDWS can render to Mpeg2 after you have put your DVD together.
Var stands for variable bit rate for the video. Video's that are longer then 60 minutes should be rendered this way.
A higher bit rate will be used for high motion scenes while a reduced bit rate will be used in motionless scenes.
