  2. I think this is your problem:

    ############### New MPEG File ###############
    File: D:\16_September_2003\New\Tequila_B_B\2\02_01.mpg
    Horizontal Res: 480
    Audio SampleRate: 44100

    ******** Demultipexing original mpg file

    try demuxing and muxing the file with tmpgenc. See what happens when you run the muxed file throught tmpgenc

    Thanks for your help
    When I demutliplex there is no video stream in the video input.
    The mpeg plays OK and when I open it with Virtual Dub and check it - there appears to be no problem.
    Don't know what to do next ??

    Whilst the file plays ok it is in fact not valid from a prcessing point of view. Both video & audio streams must be fully mpeg standard compliant to be processed in most cases.

    Your only option is to re-encode the mpeg using main concept, cce of tmpgenc etc.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Then i think Chrissyboy is right you don't have a compliant mpg. What to do now.

    1. convert the mpg to a compliant format but i think when you can't demux it with tmpgenc that will be very hard to do.
    2. make a new mpg.
    3. stop with the process of getting this particular mpg on cd or dvd.
