i made a menu........

but it dosent come up when i start the vcd . whats the deal
is there somethin im missing can someone redirect me to a guide for it , because im not going to ask how its been asked a milllllllion times i have a philips dvd711 and im using nero 5.5

This might sound dumb but....did you hit play? I don't think the menu will come up unless you hit play.

The menu should pop up on the 711. Have you turned on PBC? I have a 711 and have succeded in such a way that menus created by Nero pops up. But beware, most of the times the menu locks the player (don't know why) and I have to pull out and reconnect the cord to get the disk out. There are better programs (that don't lock the player) for menu creation and if possible use one of those.

I have tested the VCDdemo disk created by Vitualis and that menu popped up (and played partly). For me being a programming illiterate it seems very complicated to create menus that way but I'll spend rainy days (starting today) trying to learn how since that way seem to generate the best working menus. You will examples on how it's done if you do a search in this forum and the website of the VCDImager creator.

thanks bro.... its weird right before i checked back i tried again and turned on the pbc and it came up fine i burnt a Loveed up svcd (the freezeing thing ) got alittle ahead of myself . but i did ill have to try on a regular one but thanks again
