I made a a dvd using ConvertxtoDVD with menu from downloaded files, the original works fine but now when i try to copy it the menu doesnt not show up, Ive tried riping with dvd decyptor, then creating an iso in dvd shrink, and buring the iso to a dvd. when previwed in vilc the iso has the menu and it functions, however after it is burned and played on tv, no menu. ive also used imgburn and nero to copy wtih same results.

no need to re-rip it as it's not protected. use windows to copy the video_ts and audio_ts folders off of the original dvdr to a folder on your hard drive. use imgburn in build mode to burn from your hard drive onto dvdr. 1 to 1 copy nothing will have changed.

what program in windows do i use to create the video_ts and audio_ts files? will the folder files be dvd files and imgburn basically create an iso to burn to a dvd? i think i already did a similar senario to that as I used the copy disc function in nero and burned the dvd, but the menu did not show.

From what I understand, you have a disc, made with ConvertxtoDVD,
that is fine, play with menu and all.
To copy you can use Nero/Disc Copy or if you want to use ImgBurn, than
put your disc into drive, click off on play, open Explorer, find the drive and use "Open". You will see two folders Audio and Video_TS.
Create folder on your drive with name of the movie or what you like, than drag those two folder from DVD to HDD folder you created.
Once done, open in ImgBurn Build mode, if you have new version, than use corresponding icons in open menu, than burn.

brdhsby5 - dvds are data discs. nothing fancy and can be copied just like any file on your computer. insert your disc. rightclick on drive icon. select open or explore. there should be 2 folders. highlight them and drag them to your harddrive, into whatever folder you want there. when it's done, give the folder the name of the movie if you want that as the disc label. start imgburn. select mode/build. click the little folder icon in the upper middle. navigate to the movie folder and select it. insert a blank dvdr. when the folder->disc icon lights up click it and follow the instructions. when it 's done it will be a 1 to 1 copy.

Are you talking about DVD made with ConvertX or some other original DVD?

From what I get in first and last post, you created DVD from few files imported into ConvertX and use that program to create menu for them to play from.
I am not familiar with ConvertX, but I assume it create new folder on HD with your new compilation.
Does that play, usig software player like VLC, starting from menu?
Forget PgcEdit, that is just to be able to check commands, beside other things it can do..

When you copy VIDEO_TS folder from your DVD to hard drive, can you play that video with software player like VLC as it should be?

Do you have other software player to try, like Nero, Power DVD or other?
If that does not play, than I am afraid you will have to learn PgcEdit, because it looks like the commands got mixed up in a process.
    PgcEdit has pretty good tutorial.
