    I have a 120 gig western digital harddrive, when I did my system upgrade I removed the drive and put it on the table for a few weeks untill I got my system all setup,,, well something musta happend to the drive I can't access it, I ran western digital drive testing software and It says the drive is ok,, but Windows wants to format it, how can I get my data off this drive without the format??
    I even put it back into my old system and It does the same thing,

    this Is really inportant to me, I really don't care that it has my video projects on it but It has all my digital photos for the past 2 years also.....
    I know to do backups from now on!!!!!
    Please help!!!!

    Download the demo and see if it sees all the files. The demo version wont let you extract them.

  5. Your posting is not so clear to me. Here are some questions for you.
    1. Did you completely assemble a new pc? What do you mean by "putting into your old system"?

    2. Did you manage to boot into window at all?

    3. Are you trying to install a new os when window wants to format your drive?At what point did windows offer to format your disk?

    4. What kind of os is your original?

    5. Did you try to install your old disk on a secondary ide? This way you might be able to access your files assuming that you have a primary disk in your new pc.
