Black Screen when capturing using Canopus ADVC100

Hi,

I have a Canopus ADVC-100 which I am trying to use to convert analogue video to digital video (for editting on PC), and vice-versa

The device is detected in Windows 2000, and I can capture when the firewire cable is attached to my DV Camera directly. I also know the analogue cable works fine.

I have tested the Canopus without a PC, ie converting from DVCam to TV and vice versa.

When I attempt to capture in either Adobe Premier 6.0 or WinDV, the preview screen (which should show the video I wish to capture) is just black!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do to fix this?

Just some friendly advice since you must have missed the rules. :c)

Don't be surprised if one of your posts gets locked by a Moderator and disappears. That's what they do.
