I was testing a XSVCD with the following characteristics:
VBR
704X480
Audio 160kbps
23.97 fps
The test worked perfect in my Apex 1100 but I noticed that the file created by TMPGenc is 388MB, and the AVSEQ01 file inside the MPEG2 folder in the XSVCD disk is 445MB, the disk was made with Nero, and I choose the non standard SVCD option so there was no re-encoding. I thought the size of the AVESEQ01 file should be the same as the original MPEG file as long as Nero didn’t re-encode. Am I right or Nero does modify a file in ways other than reencoding?
