  1. For the life of me i cant figure out how to place the mask over the logo in my mpg2...if you preview te picture and place you r cursor over a pixel itll quickly tell you what pixel it is [though to try that trick again you must take the cursor out of the window and back in again to see the #]
that said .. it is possible to get all for corner pixels figured out but theres no way to enter it into the XY filter setting .SO... how the heck do you do it

SECOND. the logo isnt there the whole time so how do i get it to only turn on [and off and on...] during the frames that it does appear?

What I do is open a screengrab (actual size) in a graphics editor and then write down positions before I open Vdub. :c)

I use PaintshopPro, but most any will do.

I haven't had a logo that was "off" yet, so I never tried that.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Open the filter and drag the bar in the preview window to a fairly light colored scene that has a logo, click on "solid fill", use the arrows next to the the X, Y and width, height boxes to move and size the black square over the logo, change the filter back to X-Y.

VDub won't selectively apply the filter but Avisynth can, here's a thread with more info.

The large file size is due to the lack of compression. In vdub, before you save the avi you need to choose an avi compression codec.
