  1. Went to do back-up my copy of Silent Mobius (vol 2), and I ran into a problem with InstantCopy 8. I put the copied DVD in the drive, and it plays fine through the introductory screens, but when it goes to access the root menu or title menu (or if I use PowerDVD to jump past to there), the disc just stops.

I'm using InstantCopy 8.0.0.0251, first ripping it to the HD using DVD Decrypter. I have InstantCopy set to copy the complete disc, at high quality reduction method. There's no error message whatsoever at the end of the conversion.

Does anyone have any clues as to what's going wrong for me??

    Hi!!

At first, I'm sorry to tell you, that I haven't any help for you.

I just have the same problem. Also with IC8 but I used SmartRipper to get the movie to the HD. PowerDVD stops if I access for example the Audio Menu, the DVD just stops. If I access the same Menu my Sony DVD just starts the movie.

Also the InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor 1.4.0 seems not to cooperate with IC8. All the settings I did in ICHSE 1.4 were ignored by IC8 (the preview was still visable and so on).
YES -- I pressed the SET Button !!

So what is wrong with IC8 and ICHSE 1.4 ??

    Any help is very welcome!!

    Many TIA & Cu @ll

  3. I've read that Mr. Bass has yet to update InstantCopySettings to support IC8. So, I wouldn't run it with IC8.

Does anyone know how to uninstall InstantCopySettings? I have a feeling that it left some "hooks" into IC7, because I was unable to uninstall IC7 before installing IC8. There is no listing of InstantCopySettings in the Add/Remove Application section of Control Panel. I'll check out Mr. Bass' site.

  4. OOoopppsss....Sorry, I just found out that InstantCopySettings 1.4 is the newest version that is suppose to support IC7 & 8.

Although I know he's been in this forum you might have to email Mr. Bass at mrbass@mrbass.org.
