  1. I normally use ffdshow for xvid, but now I need to open xvid files up in vdub and it couldn't find a decompressor. So I installed Nic's Xvid decoder from the link off this site, and Vdub still can't find an Xvid decompressor. I just want to be able to extract the audio from it to wav. TMPGenc opens and converts it fine, but I hear its not so good for the audio.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

If you can't tell by listening , it doesn't matter does it.
TMPGenc can be made to use the TooLame audio encoder instead
    of it's internal one .
Options- Environmental Setting - Audio Engine

Also ssrc (Shibatch) can be used for frequency change for example 44.1k to 48k (VCD to DVD)
