  1. Hi there!
I record movies on pc from tv. Now I am wondering if it is possible to rip this subtiltes from a movie. I guess not, but maybe there is somebody out there with other experiences.

In theory it is possible, but is a HELL of a job!!!

There are some internetsites where you can download subtitles http://www.divx-digest.com.
The subtitles are mostly ripped and converted to text format...
You should need a program that can convert these text files to pictures that can be layed over the video and that can change timebase so that subtitles are in sync with the video...

As far as I know is Subtitle Workshop v2.02 from urusoft (http://www.urusoft.cjb.net) capable of doing this and it FREE!!!

    Good Luck

whocares - you might hear a strong word from the mods about not cross-posting. :c* Is this the same problem you have in "authoring"? or are you trying something different?
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

    I wasn't upset. :c) That's why I wrote. So their first/second reply doesn't end up being a warning. :c)

Didn't mean it to sound that way. I was typing it while you posted. And was already trying to clarify what they wanted in their other thread.

    Oh, sorry...

I Guess you are probably right about this that he/her will become a message of the mod... But in this case he/she is new to this and maybe he/she doesn't know the forum rules...
I find it more frustrating when someone who already posted more than 50 questions and THEN still does crossposting!!!

    So no offense!!!

  7. Well this HE is having two totaly different problems!!!!
It seems that not every body who can read english can understand english.
What the hell has authoring a dvd with 1 movie and 2 audio files to do with stripping subtitles from a movie?
Read and THINK before you start shouting!!! (Geeeeeeeeeeeee Gees)
And HAGGARD thanks for the info!! Will give it a try.

That was unnecessary and uncalled for. Good luck with both of your problems.

  9. Didn't ask for your "warning" either. Asked for a solution.
