    Hi!

Right, i tried to do this on my own by reading the various guides available on the site, but it looks like i've failed. Here is my problem:

I am trying to stream a 720p .mkv to my PS3 over my network, which works. However, the PS3 doesn't do soft-subtitles. As this is a japanese movie, this makes it somewhat problematic to watch.

So what i'm attempting to do it is add the subtitles to the video stream itself, this is proving immensely annoying.
The contents of my mkv file are as follows:

    TRACK1: video[V MPEG4/ISO/AVC]
    TRACK2: audio[A_AC3]
    TRACK3: subtitles[S_TEXT/ASS]
    attachment type "application/x-truetype-font" name "MERKIN"

It doesn't really matter what format it ends up in, as long as not too much quality is lost. My media server software transcodes everything on the fly anyways. It's just i can't find a way to get the damn subtitles into the video stream.
While trying to do this, i've aquired the following programs:

    VirtualDub
    VirtualDubMod
    mkvextractgui
    mkvmergegui
    GOTSent
    VisualSubSync

Can i do this with any of those? If not, what program do i need?

Thanks for any help in advance

EDIT: I also need to do this with a range of .ogm files, if you could point me in the right direction for those as well, i'd appreciate it.

Extract the subtitles using mkvextractgui or OGMcleaver.
Reconvert using xvid4psp, load video and subtitle, choose the mp4 ps3 profile, convert.
