    They were pre-2001 Honda Civics. You can tell by looking at the tail lights. They also were most likely Honda Civic EX's because they have the sunroofs.

    My car looks exactly the same (although not the same year) and it is a 1993 GLi Honda Civic Sedan.

    So if you are looking at that sort of car but are on a budget look at the model a few years back and if they are the same as Australia (most are) than it should be the same body shape.
