Hey u guys I have a nVidia video capture (universal) device but it wont cap avi more than 3:24 minutes although the software i used (Virtual VCR) says remaining time is 22 mins? can anyone please help ? thanks

22 minutes left? You have major issues.
My best guess is your capturing in RAW AVI format, and you've hit a 2/4 GB barrier. Try capturing in huffyuv or mjpeg formats. Huffyuv is about 10-40 GB/hour depending on resolution. MJPEG is 5-25 GB/hour depending on resolution.
You can capture in other codecs, but it's a horsepower issue whether you can convert in realtime.

Fill out your frigging PROFILE, that's what it is there for, and might actually supply some useful information to SOLVE your problem, and mentioning something about your capture method and codecs used might be helpful, as well.

Go for a segmented capture, use huffyuv.
