Problem ripping home DVD-r's

Now when I go to rip one of my dvd-r's or rw's and make it into a .vob it never works correctly when i try to make an avi out of it. If i rip it and try to play it in powerdvd it plays everything fine. But if i go into flaskmpg and try to make it into an avi, it only can find the video to convert over not the audio. What is the problem?

You're going to need to slow down and clarify what you are trying to do. Are you talking about backing up a DVD Movie you own? What tools are you using and explain what you are doing or trying to accomplish please!

What I want to do is turn the DVD-R to an AVI or MPG video file. When I rip the DVD-R to VOB it works fine. Even when I play the VOB in PowerDVD everything is fine. Then when I go into FlaskMPEG, to turn the VOB to an AVI it only finds the Video of it. No Audio. I need to figure out what is wrong that it won't find the Audio of the VOB.

Use VOBEDIT or DVDDecrypter to demux the VOB or use DVDx to rip and convert to AVI.If the audio is AC3 you will have to convert to WAV first,use Besweet or AC3Tool.
