Just curious. We currently live in the country but given what we know, in a year or so we won't be in the country anymore. 15 years at this house and only now is our family talking about moving farther from the city again. Oh well, change is always welcome in my mind.

  5. I lived for 11 years in an area were the population was around 13000 people

Lived inside Atlanta while going to Georgia Tech. You can't get more in the city than that. A few blocks away from skyscrapers.

Now I live in the suburbs.

Yeah, seems like most of us so far live in the burbs. I too live in the suburbs but in a semi-rural area that is rapidly changing.

I should also add that I do like visiting large cities like Chicago...but I probably couldn't live there.

It's really not that bad. I live in a mix of a suburb and a city...not too far from indianapolis. Besides the downtown area, it's pretty good.

  15. I live in the suburbs but I would say in 5 years time it will be classed as city living. Love where I live, 5 minutes from the mall, 40 minutes to coast, 20 minutes to city.

Where I live has a large problem with urban sprawl.

rural england! as contry as country can be. nothing but chip shops and market stalls in our village, the air smells of shit, and you can't move for pubs. i love it. apart from the shit smell, but that's not too bad here actually. i'm going to have to take some photos, three minutes on my push-bike is far enough to see nothing but forests and fields.

A cinema less than 25 miles away would be nice though

  17. Grew up in the Chicago burbs. Now own about 5 acres of land in the country. Although, I am 15 minutes from work and Wal-Mart, I can walk to the national forest in about 15 minutes.
I have it all, except DSL. I am too far out for a DSL connection. Cable is an option, so is DirectTV connection.
Just what is this reality thing anyway?
