Download videos from YouTube which are not available in my country

Hello,
I use DownloadHelper (Firefox Addon) for downloading videos from youtube, but how can I download videos which are not available in my country?

Anybody knows how I could to it?

Use a proxy located in the US

If the video is 1080p on youtube and you can fool it iwth a suitable proxy then yes. Remember that most videos do not have 1080p or even 720p versions.

No, many videos are blocked in certain countries. I have one not available in French-speaking countries such as France and French Polynesia because the rights are owned by a French company that doesn't want it seen in French speaking places for some lame reason. I have another that can be seen only in India, and nowhere else. That one is owned by an Indian company. Go figure.

And I have one that's blocked the entire world over. I'm the only one allowed to view it. I'm privileged.

There are a good number of clips from "Mock the week" I can't view from the US. Fortunately a good number of other people uploaded the clips. I'd agree a proxy would be the only alternative.

I tried some of the proxies, but YouTube says "An error occurred, please try again later.

Please help me and tell me what proxy is working

for viewing you can use proxy sites (you can find some at http://proxy-zone.net )

but for downloading you cann download cyberghost VPN (trial version) and download as much as you want.. 1 GB bandwith should be enough.
