    hi u all
    cant get my head round this film file i downloaded,i want to put it on a dvd,but no software seems to like it.its a DVDSCR.AVI file.i tried to burn it as a svcd,but didnt have a disk big enough.now i have my pioneer dvd105 writer i wanted to put it on there.but i cant.ive tried,vdub and tmpgnc dont like like it either.
    anyone help

    At least you posted what you were trying to do and how you tried to do it. Most newbie questions do not give as much info, yet expect a solution. Anyway, can you tell us what errors each program reported?

    well they say that the file is unsupported.i can watch the movie no probs on windows media player.i just cant find any program that will allow me to encode it.in tmpgnc i can load audio source,but thats it.

  4. Use gspot to see what codecs its using.
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    right i have figured out how to load that file into tmpgenc and thats working fine.but i cant convert both audio and video cause apparently tmpgenc dont like it.what i need is to get virtualdub workin so i can extract the wav.but as we no it wont happen.i been told about this codec ffshow,loads of peeps says thats the one i want,but i installed that(dunno if its in the right place mind)and makes no difference,do i have to install into vdub somewhere or am i a complete idiot

    hi m8 thx for all the info xtracted the wav with avi2wav and all is going fine at the mo,tmpgenc is at it now,but its gona take a while,lol

    man u should charge peeps for all this info,lol
