I have decided to buy a DVD writer and will likely go for either the Liteon LDW-401s, the Pioneer DVR-106 or the Sony DWU-14A the latter 2 being dual format drives. My question is does it actually mater whether I use - or + media in the dual drives. All I want to do is edit and burn home movies onto DVD.
Thanks

Depends on your DVD player, some will only play the - format some will only play the + format, but most will play both.
