Can't read disc

I have been burning with these Ritek G04's for a while now and haven't had any problems until now. I bought a 100 spindle, I'm halfway through it and all of a sudden they start burning at 4X. They've never done this before. So I put it in the dvd player after burning and It say's it can't read disc. I also tried my dvd rom with dvd decryptor and wouldn't read it eithier. So I read somewhere that 4X burning might not be stable so I slowed it down to 2X and still can't read disc, so my question is, is it possible that halfway through the spindle the discs are bad, and if so why only after burning.

I have just now tried to burn another one and loaded it back in dvd decryptor after it was done and it said it was empty. It went through the entire burning process at 4X and didnt put anything on the disc.

If your burner is a Pioneer A04 or DVR-104 you will ruin your drive by buring with G04 media, unless you have the latest firmware upgrade for that drive.

What drive do you have?

I just took the drive back figuring that maybe the drive was dead and got a brand new dru510a and it still won't burn. It goes through the entire burning process but theres nothing on the disc. Could it be bad media?

Yep! Are you sure its Ritek G04? Ritek is among the BEST!

By the way, for the money, you should have got the Pioneer A06.
