CD-R read error, blank disc

Hi

I have a data CD-R that is recognised as 'blank disc' on my laptop. The drive is a Pioneer DVD-RW DVRKDO8RS 1.02. However, the disc plays fine on a dedicated DVD player.

On another CD-R, the computer only manages to show the file icons but not the actual file.
The CD-R has been in storage for a number of years and has turned see -through
The DVD player could only display a few files on the disc.

Need some advice on how I can recover the data on both discs.

Try the discs on both yours and other's PCs using Isobuster.
