Who makes the fastest SCSI DVD-ROM? I currenty have a Pioneer 305S and when using DVDShrink, it take one hour to encode.

Well, not really.
Do you think shrink is starved for data? A whole hour to get a movie ready to burn? Where were you when it took 20 + hours just to make a VCD?
Shrink isn't starving. It's busting its nuts doing its job. Throwing data at it faster won't help, as it can only work on the data it has, as fast as it can, then takes more data.
Patience. You know, this is only about as long as it used to take us to burn a CD, a CD, mind you, of data. And with a 50% failure rate.
