    Hi,

Reading many posts I know everyone says DAO is the way to go burning VCD's not TAO. I know TAO burns one track, then turns off the laser and turns it back on to burn the next track, but if I only have one track (xxx.mpg) what would be the difference?

I do know that .mpg file is changed to AVSEQ01.DAT inside the MPEGAV folder, but it still only one track wright? The audio and video are muxed together and not seperate tracks.

    Thanks

A VCD/SVCD with one video track is still two tracks. Track 1 is ISO9660 data, the video files start with track 2. VCD/SVCD must be burned in DAO.

There are other differences between TAO and DAO burning, even if there is only one track. Off the top of my head I don't remember all the details, though.

    Thanks for the reply,

If I have a disk (VCD) that was created with TAO burning, but made a copy of it (simple disk copy) and used DAO, would it be a better or more acceptable VCD ?
Or would I have to extract the original AVSEQ01.DAT from the first disk and convert it back to a .mpg and reburn with Nero DAO ?

Kinda confusing I know, just trying to figure out the why and why not's...

    Thanks

If it plays in your player; GREAT! In the future though, burn with disc at once.
