  1. I download my movie of my Video camcorder. It come in as an AVI. I have heard that premiere 6.5 will convert this to MPEG 2 to put onto a DVD. I used to save it as a AVI then put it through tmpgenc to make it into a MPEG. But i was told premiere 6.5 will do it. Can anyone tell me what are the best setting to get very good quality without haveing a hugh file. Thanks in advance.

there is an EXCELLENT guide on how to do this on your adobe premiere installation cd (plus some additional templates) - its in the extras dir. you can also download it on the main concept site or at the adobe web site ..

you must update your registered mpeg encoder in adobe ot the latest version (free update) ... you will find that link on the main concept web site easier than on the adobe web site --

  3. Just use the Adobe Mpeg Encoder under export settings and just set your various mpeg settings. Premiere uses the Mainconcept encoder so it is pretty good. Much much faster than TMPGenc...
