thank you for all your suggestions and help in helping me to decide which dvd recorder to purchase. I have a lot if personal vhs tapes that i would like to transfer to dvd and i am planning on purchasing the Panasonic E50
even though they just came out with the following

it is probably to new for any comments
here is my question
i have the dish network pvr and i save shows on the hard drive
i talked to dish and their "tech" help said i could transfer the recorded shows to a dvd recorder BUT the shows would contain commercials
is it possible with the E50 to edit out stuff (like commercials) as it is being fed from the dish pvr to the E50?
Thank you for your comments

halekon,
I am not sure which model #, but there is a Panasonic DVD recorder where you can edit out commercials. EM-50EH or some such model, cant remember.
Good luck. -

Follow this link above. The Panasonic DMR-E80H, reportedly edits out commercials with the use of your remote. -
The E80H has a hard drive in it.
The E30 and E50 do not have a hard drive, but you can still edit with DVD-RAM. There are several threads talking about this.Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
