Hi,
Im using Ulead to turn an AVI to an mpeg and then to burn it onto a DVDR. The problem is, is that for some unknown reason the mpeg loses sound around halfway or even all of the film. Any ideas??
Also, When I use nero to burn my video_ts files at 4X, the buffer is all over the place. Would this cause my discs to burn with errors as im using riktek g04's and I still have freezing and pixel issues occasionally.
Just FYI im using an A05 to mke my dvd's.

As a general tip, I wouldn't use MovieFactory to encode your files;
I prefer to use TMPEG and then to use MovieFactory only to add menus/chapters and to burn the disc. This seems to work pretty well.
To be honest, I haven't burnt many DVDs with Nero but I wouldn't have thought that the buffer varying alot is a particularly good sign! Whether it is the cause of your problems, I wouldn't know. I also have an A05 drive and use the Riteks and don't have any problems, so it's possible, I guess!The future is much like the present, only longer. -
As TTE says. Convert using a different program to dvd compliant files such as tmpgenc then import it to Ulead and add your menu's etc... and burn. Just follow the guides from the CONVERT section on how to convert an avi to a dvd compliant file and you are done.
