When I try to use a MPEG file which I get from DVB, SVCD2DVD 1.5 always tells me, that the MPEG file isn't valid. What can I do to change the file that I get a valid MPEG for SVCD2DVD. It happens with all the MPEG files I have from DVB.
Here is the log file:

I am guessing here, but since you mentioned DVB, I am assuming Digital TV broadcast.
Digital TV uses a different version of an MPEG system stream, called Transport stream while the usual system stream (.mpg) files are of the type called Transport stream.
There are differences between the two.
I have never worked with a Transport Stream, but I would try Tmpgenc, go to MPEG Tools and use demultiplex to create the elementary streams (.mpv, .mpa). I would then use them to re-multiplex (with Tmpgenc again) to make a transport stream.
It may work. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -
Yes, DVB is Digital TV boradcast. I use a programm to cut the mpeg file and this programm convert it into programmable stream. So that was not the proble, but I found the reason: SVCD2DVD 1.5 (the demuxer) don't like files bigger than 2GB.

True - there is a 2GB limit (I'm working on a over 2GB version....).
What program do you use to get a program stream?
is it PVAStrumento?
Essentially PVAStrumento is a tool to convert files recorded from DVB in PVA-format to regular MPEG2 program streams.
Also PVAStrumento might (!) assist you in converting other MPEG2 files (like that captured by Dazzzle DVC II or by Hauppauge WinTV PVR or by boards of other manufacturers) into a format that better suites DVD mastering applications, or get synchronized elementary streams of any MPEG2 program stream.SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

No, I use MPEG-VCR from Wobmle Multimedia becasue with this tool you can cut MPEGs. PVAStrumento seems to be interesting. I use DVDPatcher 1.6 to patch the MPEG, because the bitrate of the video isn't correct (to high) to use it with an authoring programm.

Hey,
* Maybe the patch for the bitrate is your problem.
* Seeing that the program uses .net framework my guess would be VB.NET, C#, and JScript.NET cause these are the most used languages in .net framework.Greatings,
