Sansung DVD-V1000 skipping

I have a Samsung DVD-V1000 player and I need to find the right media to use with this player. I have tried Verbatum and Memorex DVD-R's, but they skip. Anybody else have this player that can tell me which brand of DVD will work? I am new to this and I have to say this is a great web-site. I learned a lot just by reading some of the stuff on here.

Hey whats up. Hope this helps: I also have a samsung dvd player the Samsung DVD-711. I've tested all types of media and it doesn't play most of them correctly, not even samsung media!. One brand that it plays flawlessly is DVDPro (Grade A). I started buying them in bulk now. They don't fail. So give those a try. It also played imation media but i only tested 3 discs so i cant fully vouche for those. I have yet to try Riteks which i hear work well.
