  1. Does anyone know if you can include subtitle from the original files (at lease one) to the structure to build a new dvd structure with subtitle? I use version 1.5.13.44 of the TMPGEnc DVD Author software and it does not seem to support subtitle at all.

    Thank you

  2. TMGP Author does not support subtitles. The only authoring programs (that I know of) that do are: DVD Maestro, Scenarist, Reel DVD, Adobe Encore and IFOEdit. Of that list only IFOEdit is free.

What some people do as a work around is author the VOB files in IFOEdit, import/load them in TMGP (I think TMPG accepts VOB files I know that DVD Lab does) then author. You'd have to select the subtitles manually with the remote.

Say you have 3 titlesets (IFOs, BUPs, VOBs) with multiple audio and subtitle streams and want to use DVD Author. With IFOEdit you can do this:

    1) Make a menu with 3 tracks and use very short clips... saves time.
    2) Move all the VIDEO_TS (not VTS) files to the folder with the 3 titlesets.
    3) Open VIDEO_TS.IFO/VMG_PTT_SRPT and enter the number of chapters for each titleset.
    4) Save file and Get VTS sectors.
    5) Open each VTS.IFO/VTS_PGCITI/VTS_PGC_1 and add a Post Command (CallSS VMGM) Call VMG title-menu, Resume Cell = 0. Save each file. (menu will return after each movie)

If you want the Play All button to work properly, copy all the post commands (step 5) from each IFO file created with DVD Author to the 3 titleset IFOs. (Use hex copy & paste)

    Hope this helps,

    Chas
