  1. I have a .MOV file that I converted from an AVI. It plays fine in QT, but when I try to import into iMovie, the audio gets all choppy.

I noticed the .MOV has 6 Sound tracks, I tried t oextract them to an .Aif and then repaste, but it didnb't work. ffmpeg is also unable to process the audio to an mp3.

Any ideas what might be causing this, or how to fix it? I'm about ready to give up on it as being too corrupted.

what speed is your machine? It might just be latency. Have you tried exporting the movie and playing that back in Quicktime to see if it is still choppy?

  3. It's a dual 1ghz G4. I shouldn't be having cpu problems.

I think I did try exporting and I lost some of teh audio. What type of export would you recommend?

with a DP 1GhZ you should definitely NOT experience any latency.

I cant tell you what settings to use for export because i do not know what your target is... email? dvd? Divx? VCD?

  5. Ultimately, I want to use to put this on iMovie for a DVD using iDVD.

I went to convert it to an AVI using the QT avi export, and the file was HUGE!

maybe my fps were wrong? I was using 29.97 I think. for avi, should I use 15 or so?
